Awesome!

I have used a number of shoes over the past few years from nikes, asics, solomon, etc and most were fine, but this shoe is awesome. It is targeted towards runners that are looking for an extremely light and minimalist shoe. There is little in the way of support compared to the moon boots they make for the heel-striking masses. I run with a forefoot landing and the reduced heel to toe ratio is awesome. The rubber used in the sole feels like you are walking/running on marshmallows..very comfy. The shoe seems made well-enough and time will tell how long they will last. I put a pair on and ran about 24 miles the first week and it was the best feeling mileage I've had in a long while. Brooks, you hit a home run!

Salvation

As I trained for my first marathon, I found the pain in my feet by mile 15 was becoming difficult to work through. At the time, I was wearing another minimalist shoe with my custom orthotic inserts. I am very flat-footed, so without the orthotics, I pronate badly (causing knee and ankle pain). I began looking for a shoe that might permit me to run without the orthotics, and I decided on Brooks Pure Cadence. I began training in them with nothing more than the factory inserts and noticed immediate improvement. While the old dogs still complained quite a bit past twenty miles (who can blame them?), the pain was far more manageable. Last Saturday I finished the Santa Barbara Marathon in four hours. I'm not going to tell you my feet didn't hurt, but they carried me to the finish. And I had absolutely none of the joint pain I had experienced with traditional running shoes. I can't recommend these shoes highly enough. Nice job, Brooks, and thank you.

Cured my shin splints and knee problems

I have used many shoes in the past including top of the line asics, nike,... I am 6'1" and 185 pounds and started having shin splints last year. I had to stop running. After I picked up running again, then I had runner's knee problems. Finally, I got these shoes, and so far so good. I used them couple times and never had pain in my shins. If you are tall and slightly heavy, these shoes definitely help to absorb the shock in your feet rather than resonating through your shins and knees.
