Awesome balance of minimalism and cushion

I purchased this shoe after running in New Balance MT10's (the Minimus line trail shoe) proved too hard on my feet. I loved that shoe at shorter distances, but when running longer distances my feet would develop painful blood blisters. After trying all sorts of solutions (socks, body glide, etc.) I decided I needed something with a bit of cushion for my longer runs. I also have a wide foot which limits my options, so I was very excited that now Saucony offers this shoe in wide.I LOVE this shoe. I run 20+ miles a week in these (with at least one 10+mile run on the weekend) and I have not had any foot issues whatsoever. The 4mm heel-toe drop allows me to maintain my natural running form and the cushion provides a comfortable run even at med-long distances. The upper is very breathable and keeps my feet cool and comfortable even here in sunny Florida. I have read many reviews from experienced runners who have gone marathon distances and more in these shoes with no issues. I haven't reached that yet, but I hope this will be the shoe to help me get there.I found this shoe to run true to size for me.

Nice Improvement

I had the Kinvara 2's in a size 12 and they were always a little snug and narrow for my foot. They were still my everyday runner though, absolutely love them. Thought I'd have the same problem with these but there nicely updated with a bigger toe box and fit perfectly now. You can't go wrong with these for the mid foot striker.

Pain-free running

After years of trying different types of running shoes to get back to regular exercise, and finding all manner of bio-mechanical issues along the way, I have finally found a shoe that allows running without pain in my shins and plantar fascia. I have recently tried shoes like the Kinvara 2 and two variations of Nike Free, all of which have a 4-5 mm drop from toe to heel. This allows an easing into the barefoot running style. The Kinvara 3 are my favorite!PRO:-extremely lightweight-comfortable from the start-roomier toe-box than the Kinvara 2CON:-I personally like the colors and design, but you may not. To each his own!-for functionality, it is hard to find a CONI now run pain-free 15-20 miles a week. I followed others' advice about easing into this style of running shoe: you will be more on your toes, or do more of a flat strike than the rocking heel to toe motion of traditional shoes with their higher heel to toe drop. I initially felt more of a workout for my calf and quadricep muscles but after a month, am now acclimated to the running style. The best part: no shin splints and no debilitating pain from my arches!I am not racing and certainly would get passed by others who are more fleet-footed, but I am running in these Kinvara 3's to lose weight (20+ lbs in 5 months) and get healthier. I started in Nike Free shoes and now alternate between them and these Kinvara 3's. I find myself picking up the Kinvaras more often.Whatever your reasons for trying these shoes, I send my best wishes for pain-free running and better health!

Incredible Stability Shoe!

A life-long Nike supporter, I decided to get fitted for a running shoe since I am preparing for the Houston Marathon. I knew that I had flat, narrow feet, but I didn't know that I had a problem with pronation until the salesman watched my running stride. Telling him that my previous shoe was a Nike Vomero 6, I half-expected him to bring out the Vomero 7s. Was I stunned when he fitted me with Mizuno Wave Inspire 8.The moment I put on these stability shoes I knew I was wearing something special. When I ran with them in the store, my ankles didn't turn, and, in a way, it made my feet feel wider. The one comment the salesman made was that the Wave Inspire takes a little bit longer to adjust to a runner's feet, but after running with them a couple of shorter runs of four and five miles, these shoes paid huge dividends on the long run of 13 miles.What I experienced on that long run was close to divine. I recognized that the Wave 8's designers understood the needs of long distance runners for the simple fact that the shoes prevented much of the energy from the pavement weakening my legs. As a result of the shoe's technology, I can run longer distances at a faster pace without my legs and feet feeling it afterwards.I will continue using my Nike Vomeros for my gym workouts, but if you're a long distance runner (or at least trying to be as I am), then I definitely recommend being fitted for a running shoe at your local shoe store. You may be surprised. In my case, I found a wonderful stability shoe in the Mizuno Wave Inspire 8!

My Wandering Days are Over

When it came time to replace my worn-out Wave Inspire 7's, I got curious about another company that had my "Adrenaline" all pumped up by their fancy technology for absorbing shock. I thought they'd provide better cushioning, but in the middle of a half marathon when knee pain kicked in, I wasn't "running happy", and finally admitted what the blisters and dead cat bounce cushioning had been telling me all along: it was time to try the Wave Inspire 8's. Wow! and Awesome! are understatements. This is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn for my size 13, somewhat narrow and mildly overpronating feet. Mizuno got everything dialed in perfectly on this model. I'm battling the urge to stockpile a bunch so I can have a great shoe to run in for the next ten years. The 8's have a slightly reduced upper around the ankle (nice, because the 7's initially rubbed my ankle bone), a slightly more roomy toe box, and better forefoot cushoining than the 7's. I did a 20 mile run last week, had no pain anywhere, and the blisters are gone. The guy at the running store told me once people run in Mizuno's, they don't go back to other brands. I certainly learned my lesson! Couldn't recommend them more.

AMAZING SHOE

OMFG I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOE.This shoe is light, sleek, has good stability, and its good for people who over-pronate. My right foot over pronates and it fixed it right away. The blue color of the shoe is actually a little bit deeper. I was having problems with my shin before I used this shoe. When I started running with the shoes the pain immediately went away. These shoes are magic--well not really, they are just high-tech Japanese shoes.
