Not the best shoe I've had

I purchased a pair of Mizuno Wave Musha 4s on October 24, 2012. I've been running 20-25 miles a week for about two years. I'm a smaller woman (5'3", 115lbs.) and love the minimalist type of shoe. I was coming from wearing a Saucony Kinvara 2 that had over 300 miles on them and still kicking. I purchased the Wave Musha and began rotating it into my runs by alternating shoes during runs. However, I didn't fall in love with the shoe right away, but thought I had finally struck a decent balance sometime in mid-December. However, just over 2 months after purchasing the shoe, I went for a 5 mile treadmill run and had some slight hip pain/tightness. I slowed my run, stretched, and even walked for a bit around mile 2.5. I finished the run, but pulled out my old shoes to try for a run today to see if my hip was the problem or the shoe. I put in 3.1 miles on the treadmill at a pace a bit faster than yesterday with absolutely no issues. I read on Mizuno's website about how to tell by physically examining the shoe midsole if a shoe's life is over. Sadly, it seems that not even 200 miles in my $100 shoes have met their maker. I'm disappointed, frustrated, and sad to be running-shoeless just over two months from purchasing a brand new pair. This was my first pair of Mizunos and I suppose it will be my last. This product has not met my expectations.

Good for sprinting

I admittedly have not had these shoes long, but so far I think they will work as race day shoes and sprinting shoes, but not much else. The bottom of my feet ache after walking around in them for a few hours, so they don't seem to have much support. I have higher arches and normal width feet, and I found that they are true to size and width. I didn't need to order a size up.

This shoe is great for doing sprints at the track!

This is the best shoe I've ever had to run sprints in! Fits true to size. Minimal cushion and lateral support so if you need those two things don't get these. I love these shoes!
