I was in the market for a racing shoe that favored a minimalist design but provided a bit more support than the previous shoes I have tried - I run between 35-40 miles a week. A friend of mine coaches for an local endurance sports program and recommended these shoes, he wears them and swears they are MAGIC.I ordered the shoes late on a Tuesday afternoon and they arrived by lunch on Thursday. Amazon Prime never lets me down!I put the shoes on right out of the box and ran a 6 miles. Good fit, no rubbing, very comfortable and it gives me the cushion I need without being a clumpy bulky shoe. Very light weight shoe but it provides enought support to wear for half and full marathons. I plan on running in these for the Chicago Marathon and feel confident these shoes will get me to the finish line.

I have an average arch and wear a medium width. I o/pronate a bit. Brooks has always been a good fit for me. These ST5s are no exception. I don't think I have given any product a 5 star rating. I was looking for a lighter shoe without going totally "minimalist." I was hesitant on the color but when I received the shoes and put them on, I knew they were going to work out. The shoes are very comfortable. Good room in the toe-box. I usually wear a 8.5 and went up one full size to 9.5. Does not feel like I am swimming in them at all once socked up. Just the right amount of cushion in my opinion: goldilocks basically (not too much and not too little). My first 4 miles felt really great and smooth. The cushioning melts into my stride. I am not a super-fast runner. I'd say if you are looking for something a little more bold in looks, tired of the 10.6 oz +, but do not want to go "barefoot" the ST 5 is your answer. My only hope is that offer more colors in the future like yellow and blue (go Bears!)

Bought this pair of shoes for my teenager. He has worn them everyday to school this year. They are a great quality product. He loves any product in his school colors, so that was an added bonus.
